I wanted to invest more time into developing a piece that employed more abstraction and depth to create harmony in the composition. I used several sheets of scrap paper, bible verses, and newspaper clippings and adhered them to my canvas using molding paste. Also, I used glazing with oil paint to make the levels of depth I envisioned.

The purpose of Searching is to have fun while yet trying to figure out where you fit in. Take your time, consider all of your alternatives, and give yourself permission to try new things and fail at others. It is intended for the colors to serve as a reminder to occasionally glance up and appreciate the beauty around you in life or you will miss the best things life has to offer.
